Sienna’s Recalling for Brake Problem

Sienna’s Recalling for Brake Problem

Your car is supposed to give you the feeling of comfort and safety. After all, that what makes it different from other vehicles, such as trucks or motorcycles. But some cars are having manufacturer’s defect which make them prone to incidents, just like what happen to Toyota, which is recalling its 94,000 Sienna in order to change the switch bracket, related to brake’s system.

Brake is one of the most vital parts of a car. How would you expect to stop your car without a brake? The problem with Sienna is that the bracket is near the brake pedal – too near, as a matter of fact.  Whenever the braking pedal is applied fully, the driver’s foot is slightly damaging the stop lamp in switch bracket. If this damaging continues to go on, the light brake will stay lit and the brake will be engaged or stuck. Continue doing this, the car will experience brake drag, noise, or vibration. The brake light warning will continue to go on. Keep doing this and you’re surely reducing the brake affectivity, making the brake can’t fully function. That’s why they’re planning to change the switch bracket.

Other Toyota or Lexus products aren’t reported to experience the same problem. The Toyota claimed that they hadn’t been aware of this defect before the launching.

The three scientists invented the race car made of chocolate waste and vegetables oil and body also from plant fibers. The car is designed to be safe for ecology. Most of the parts are using plants and vegetation, such as steering wheel made of carrots and seat of flax fibers and foam from soybean oil, besides the organic body and the fuel.

The race car is designed and built based on the specs of Formula 3 car, including the size of the car, the weight, and even the performance. It can even reach 145mph speed. Cool (but Expensive) Technologies to Dream on

Have you ever thought about having a flying car? You can just fly up when there’s traffic jam ahead. Or how about a technology for automatic break, where your car can automatically stop itself when you’re sleepy and not aware of anything in front of you?

Those ideas sound very futuristic and impossible to come true. But such technology has already existed, like the one from Toyota Prius. It’s equipped with new technology of electric steering wheel, which will help your car come back to the lane when you start to drift off because of exhaustion or sleepiness. The electric power system will turn a bit whenever it feels you’re going off the lane. Another example is the S-Class product from Mercedes-Benz which uses radar to acknowledge the potential of hit or collision. This technology can assess whether the collision is possible and then use the electric brake system to stop the car before the collision happens. Sounds really cool and safe, isn’t it?

However, the problem with these new cars full with sophisticated technologies is that they tend to be very expensive because the cost for producing these kinds of cars is also very high. Well, it’s not wrong to dream and wish for it to finally come true.

Upcoming 2013 Mitsubishi SUV Hybrid

One of the best car producers in the world, Mitsubishi, plans to release a new SUV, which is a plug-in hybrid, in the upcoming 2013. The concept of this SUV isn’t so much different from Px-MiEV, which was displayed at Tokyo auto show in 2009.

The Px-MiEV model uses two electric motors, which is placed at the front wheels and at the rear. It also uses a hybrid system with a 1.6-liter of four cylinder engine. It enables the Px-MiEV to travel about 30 miles by using electric power before the electricity finally runs out and replaced by gasoline electric mode.

The new electric car, which is called the i-MiEV, will be only released in 3 states in West Coast area and also in Hawaii. The launching was planned to due in November 2011. The name itself, i-MiEV, has undergone a change into “i powered by MiEV” but the change of name only applies for US market. There will be about 43 Mitsubishi dealers, which are located in California, Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii, that will sell the i car.

Mitsubishi hasn’t created the official name for the plug-in hybrid, but it’s likely to have the MiEV standard which stands for Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle.
